Residential Pick-Up
You bin it, we bike it.
How We Haul
BK ROT youth workers pick up residential food waste by bicycle, process everything by hand at our local composting sites, and provide the finished compost back to the community. Microhauling reduces fossil fuel emissions, traffic, and the health disparities caused by traditional hauling methods.
At BK ROT, we're your hauler, your composter, and your neighbor. We work locally, so every dollar you spend with us stays in the community. That's full circle!
Food Scraps Guidelines
At BK ROT we have guidelines on what is and isn't possible for us to take into our systems. Unacceptable items can be harmful to our staff, to our compost systems, and our physical space limitations.

Take a look at what is and isn't acceptable for us to take, these guidelines apply to commercial, residential, and drop-off folks!
We can also accept unbleached, brown paper products (paper towels, paper bags, coffee filters), and any houseplant clippings/waste. We do not take yard waste.
